Who owns the water service line in Arcadia, CA
Arcadia's water department keeps the service and the meter as its own, with the repair bill for ordinary wear. Section 7424 provides that "All house connection sewers, industrial connection sewers, and appurtenances thereto, now existing or hereafter constructed, shall be maintained by the owner of the property served in a safe and sanitary condition", and section 7426 that "The City shall in no event be responsible for the maintenance or repair of or for removal of obstructions in or to any house connection sewer".
