What to do: Before connecting a side sewer to, or opening into, the public sewer, apply to the City of Snoqualmie for a side sewer permit; a permit must be obtained and the fees paid before any side sewer is started. Notify the sewer superintendent when the side sewer is ready for inspection; no backfill may be placed over the pipe until the work has been inspected and approved.
Snoqualmie Municipal Code section 13.04.100, PermitWhy this matters
Any needed repair to a side sewer or connection to a public sewer is the responsibility of the owner of the property served, so connecting to or opening into the public sewer is the owner's work, and it needs the City's written permit first.
